| As explained in my "about me" section at the top, I'm reusing my Xanga to just post ordinary things about my days. I don't do that anymore, since I find it incredibly boring and typical of bloggers. "Today I made waffles. Then I slept for five hours. That's all. Bye!" So I don't like to do that. But I felt like it'd still be a really nice thing to just keep a record of my days and keep on writing everyday even if it's about absolutely nothing important.
It's interesting to remember how big Xanga used to be in middle school for my generation. In a way, I think it was even better than social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace, etc. It wasn't just an impersonal thing where you added hundreds of people, half or more of which you never really talked to. On Xanga it was like you added your closest friends and you actually cared to read about each other's lives and thoughts. I kind of miss it. There's still the blogging community online, but these days you probably won't have the same blogging community consisting of your friends in real life anymore. |
